Tim Janiszewski is a conductor recognized for his expressive musicianship and commitment to engaging musicians and audiences through thoughtful, collaborative performances. He currently serves as Conductor of the Intermezzo Orchestra with Encore Music Academy. His previous positions include Music Director and Conductor of the Illinois Valley Youth Symphony, Conductor of the Midwest String Orchestra, Music Director at Naperville Summer Place Theatre, and Assistant Conductor with both the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra and the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
His professional conducting engagements include appearances with the Gwinnett Symphony Chamber Orchestra, Smoky Mountain International Festival Orchestra, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, and Elmhurst Philharmonic Orchestra.
Deeply committed to music education, Janiszewski is an active clinician working with young musicians and ensembles throughout the Chicagoland area. His work includes coaching chamber ensembles and serving as a cover conductor for the Hyde Park Youth Orchestras, as well as his time as a teaching artist and Assistant Conductor with the El Sistema Ravinia Youth Orchestras.
In 2025, Janiszewski was selected as one of eight conductors for Rising Stars: New York, a conducting workshop where he worked with Marin Alsop at the Music Conservatory of Westchester. From 2013 to 2016, he was a six-time winner of Elmhurst University’s Conducting Competition, resulting in a three-year engagement conducting the university’s Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band.
Janiszewski holds a Master’s degree in Orchestral Conducting from Messiah University, where he studied with Dr. Timothy Dixon and conducted the Messiah Symposium Orchestra. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Music Theory/Composition from Elmhurst University.
